Build the Home Team for 6,000+ Student-Athletes
Every student-athlete has potential—but not every student-athlete has support.
At Home Team Jax, we’ve seen, for the last three years, firsthand what happens when young people are left to navigate life’s toughest challenges alone. Behind the uniforms and Friday night lights are students facing real obstacles—housing instability, financial hardship, family disruption, and mental health struggles.
That’s where we step in.
Our Guiding Mentors (GMs) are more than coaches. They are consistent, trusted adults who help student-athletes stay focused, overcome adversity, and build a vision for their future beyond the game.
This summer, we’re launching a bold campaign to expand our impact across Jacksonville.
With your help, we will place Guiding Mentors in:
- 6 high schools
- 6 middle schools
Serving more than 6,000 student-athletes annually.
These mentors will:
- Provide daily mentorship and accountability
- Connect students to essential resources like clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies
- Support mental health and emotional well-being
- Help student-athletes stay eligible, graduate, and pursue life after sports
We are raising $300,000 by the end of the summer to fund this expansion—ensuring every student we serve has access to the guidance, resources, and support they deserve.
